SafeRec's Origin

Our CEO, Sebastien Sauca, explains how the SafeRec adventure started and how two founders decided to onboard on the path to payroll compliance in the United Kingdom!

I'm Sebastien, and a few people know it, but I used to work in a recruitment agency as a Sales Director. I've always been passionate about entrepreneurship and was always looking for ways to make a positive impact in the industry. Working in a recruitment agency, I saw first hand the challenges that businesses and job seekers face when it comes to compliance.

My co-founder, Jule, is a bit of a genius if you ask me. He used to work at Thales as a lead developer, where he worked on military-grade communication devices. Talk about impressive! Jule brought a wealth of technical expertise and a unique perspective to the company and is the main reason why we achieved what everyone thought was impossible a few years ago.

Jule and I are actually childhood friends, and we always shared a common frustration with the state of the recruitment industry and how it's often riddled with tax evasion, tax avoidance, and pay skimming. It just didn't sit right with us, and we knew we had to do something about it.

That's when the idea for SafeRec was born. We saw an opportunity to create a solution that would make payroll more secure and fair for everyone involved. We spent 20 months researching and developing our product, gathering feedback from potential customers and refining our idea until we felt confident that we had something truly special to offer.

Starting a business is never easy, and we certainly had our fair share of challenges along the way. But we were driven by a passion to make a difference and a desire to create something that would solve a real problem in the industry.

It's been a long and challenging journey, but we're proud of what we've built and are excited to continue making a positive impact in the recruitment industry. Our goal is to bring compliance and ethics to every worker in the United Kingdom and around the world.

Meet the Founders


Sebastien Sauca

- CEO -

Sebastien is a highly educated and experienced professional, having completed two Bachelor's Degrees in Business and a Master's Degree in Human Resources. He has spent nearly a decade working in the recruitment industry, proving himself as a successful Sales Director.

But even with all of his success, Sebastien saw room for improvement in the field of payroll compliance in the UK. That's why he started SafeRec with Jule to bring an AI-Driven solution dedicated to protecting temporary workers, agencies and end-hirers from payroll non-compliance.

Outside of work, Sebastien is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to adventure. He's a globetrotter, musician, and surfer all rolled into one. In fact, he's such a thrill-seeker that he even tried to surf on his office chair once… safe to say it didn't go very well. But that hasn't stopped Sebastien from pursuing his passions outside of work, where he's always ready for the next big adventure.


Jule Marcoueille

Jule is a true master of technology with nearly a decade of experience as a Software Engineer in the research and development and IT world. After excelling at one of the most prestigious Multimedia Engineering schools in Europe, he caught the attention of Thales, a multinational company renowned for its innovative aerospace, defence, and security systems.

But Jule's skills go beyond just engineering - he's also a highly skilled project manager with the ability to lead and inspire others while tackling any challenge that comes his way. In his free time, Jule is a talented musician who can often be found strumming away on his guitar and letting his creativity flow. And when he's not making sweet music, you'll likely find him hitting the open road on his bike and enjoying the beauty of the countryside.

And if all of that wasn't enough, Jule is also the proud father of two future geniuses (or at least, that's what he tells himself). All in all, Jule is a well-rounded and inspiring individual, and we're grateful to have him leading brilliantly on the technological front at SafeRec.
