Can you tell us a little bit about yourself, your background and your company?

For over 25 years, I've shaped my career within the world of the temporary labour market, operating within technology, umbrella services, and agency. My journey led me to join up with the guys at Octopaye just over three years ago.

Since then, we've continued to innovate have onboarded over 70 clients, forming strong bonds and providing amazing software led solutions to elevate our services within umbrella companies and payroll bureaus across the UK. Each new relationship truly deepened our impact on the temporary worker payment landscape.

At Octopaye, we're not just growing as a company; we're revolutionizing the industry, fueled by innovation and efficiency. Despite our accomplishments, it feels like our journey is just beginning. And we're ready to seize the opportunities that lie ahead.

How did you first become involved with SafeRec?

I had the pleasure of discovering SafeRec through a glowing recommendation from one of our esteemed clients. From the moment we laid eyes on their solution and became quickly familiar with their approach, we instantly recognised the value it would bring to the market. It became abundantly clear that a partnership with SafeRec would further elevate the level of value we provide to our clients – a goal that forever remains at the forefront of our minds.

The reality of the matter is this: agencies and workers often face a daunting task navigating the labyrinth of providers, each proclaiming their own compliance. This process can be clouded with ambiguity, as verifying these claims is not always straightforward.

The heart of the issue? Empowering those within the industry to confidently choose their providers. This is a complex challenge, yet it opens the door to opportunity.

How do you think SafeRec help to address these challenges?

SafeRec is at the forefront of catalysing change in the umbrella industry. They are challenging the status quo, striving for a much-needed shift towards a transparent solution. This transparency is crucial, for it allows audits to be verifiable, ensuring accountability across the board.

SafeRec fosters an environment of transparency, instilling clients with a sense of ease and certainty. They ensure that every link in their clients' supply chain is meeting their obligations. This diligent oversight safeguards temporary workers and clients from any potential exposure to financial risk arising from unmet tax and deduction obligations.

What led you to partner with SafeRec?

Two elements really, maybe three – 1. shared values and 2. innovative technology. These acted as a powerful catalyst in driving our decision to join forces. The third element is 3. Seb and Jule's infectious enthusiasm and desire to succeed. This is key in tying the values and tech together.

Let's finish on a light note! If you could only watch one TV show for the rest of your life, which one would it be?

The A-Team. I do love it when a plan comes together!
